Marth was sent away from his homeland of Aritia by his sister. Years later, he returns with allies to reclaim it. Long ago, Medeus, ruler of the dragonkin, conquered Archanea, bringing fear and suffering. This ended when a young man from Altea, wielding a divine blade, defeated Medeus. Peace followed for a time, but after a century, the Shadow Dragon returned, allying with a sorcerer to conquer the world. Their power led to the fall of many kingdoms. The king of Altea, descendant of the hero, took up the divine blade to confront the threat. His son, Prince Marth, stayed behind with his mother, his sister, and a garrison led by Gra, a neighboring ally. Marth trained in both scholarship and combat until events set him on a new path.
