Ningyo no Mori

A legend claims that consuming a mermaid’s flesh grants eternal life, but the consequences vary. Yuta and Mana, two immortals, seek a normal life as they journey through Japan across time. Along the way, they encounter others who have eaten mermaid flesh, hoping for immortality. For some, the result is death or transformation into monstrous "lost souls." While Yuta and Mana are among the few who survive relatively unscathed, their existence remains far from ordinary. The story includes three self-contained tales exploring the effects of this mysterious power.
