Shamo

At sixteen, Ryo Narushima was considered a prodigy, expected to easily gain admission to Tokyo University and join the upper echelons of society. That summer, however, a disturbing change occurred within him. Using a small knife, he violently killed both of his parents, leaving his sister alive but terrified in a corner. The story begins with this horrifying event. The series initially had multiple contributors, with Hashimoto Izou as the original writer, though his involvement decreased after volume 4. From volume 20 onward, the series changed publishers, leading to a reset in chapter numbering. Starting with chapter 61 of volume 26, following a long break, the series was entirely written and illustrated by Tanaka Akio. A settlement was reached between Tanaka and Hashimoto, allowing Shamo to continue.
