Tetsujin 28-gou

A scientist named Dr. Kaneda worked on giant robot prototypes for wartime use, but an Allied bombing destroyed his lab and killed him before they could be deployed. Ten years later, two surviving models, numbers 26 and 27, are found and used by criminals for illegal activities. Dr. Kaneda's twelve-year-old son, Shotaro, investigates and learns that the criminals are searching for the twenty-eighth robot, said to be the most powerful. He races against them to find it first and succeeds, aided by Dr. Shikishima, a former colleague of his father who was presumed dead in the bombing. Together, they ensure the robot, known as Tetsujin 28-go, does not fall into criminal hands and choose to use it for peaceful purposes instead.
