Despite all efforts to save the queen, she succumbs to her wounds and dies, but not before revealing the name she had chosen for the king: "Meruem." A final live offspring is found inside her body. Colt vows to protect the child and Morel offers to place them under his protection, on the condition Colt never eats humans again.
