Up until now, all the episodes in this season have taken place prior to the finale of season 3. This episode takes place after the finale, and we are introduced to a powerless Saiki Kusuo. Slowly, Saiki regains his powers upon learning that he is no longer a normal human with psychic abilities, but an evolved human. Saiki accepts that his powers are necessary for the world and people around him and accepts who he is. At the end of the episode, Saiki regains his powers and saves the world once again.
