A decade has passed since the conflict with Unicron. Several Decepticons who once fought against Unicron now work alongside the Autobots to extract Energon, a new energy resource. A new threat emerges in the form of Alpha Q, who seeks to take Energon from the Autobots with the assistance of Scorponok and the Terrorcons. Alpha Q's goal is to restore Megatron and Unicron, reigniting the previous war.
