Mai Kazuki

The protagonist of this work. An 11-year-old girl who attends the elementary school division of Kotemari Academy. She is a lively and energetic girl with a distinctive flaxen-colored short haircut. She loves magic, but inherited from her father a natural clumsiness that makes her hands slow and her skills are still immature. She wants to become a magician like her idol, Emily Howell, and by receiving magic from the mirror spirit Topo, she is able to transform into her ideal self, "Magical Emi." __Magical Emi__ Mai's transformed form, Emi, is named after Emily Howell, a magician whom Mai admires. She suddenly appears as a mysterious genius magician and makes Magicarat's performance, which was on the verge of failure, a success. Koganei, who happens to be there, notices her star potential and she makes her debut in the entertainment industry, becoming the star of Magicarat.
