Ei Aoki

He credits the anime [Megazone 23](https://anilist.co/anime/1935/Megazone-23) as his inspiration to have a career in animation. In 2013, he created the animation studio [TROYCA](https://anilist.co/studio/6068/TROYCA) with [Toshiyuki Nagano](https://anilist.co/staff/225498/Toshiyuki-Nagano) and [Tomonori Katou](https://anilist.co/staff/128695/Tomonori-Katou), which began animation production on its first work in the fall of 2014. He stood out as a director on [Kara no Kyoukai 1](https://anilist.co/anime/2593/Kara-no-Kyoukai-Fukan-Fuukei) in 2007, but he would not rise to fame until years later after directing the acclaimed [Fate/Zero](https://anilist.co/anime/10087/FateZero) and then at his studio with [Aldnoah.Zero](https://anilist.co/anime/20632/AldnoahZero).
