A Japanese poet, lyricist and translator. During his life, he wrote many lyrics for school songs (mainly for school in the Saitama area, in which he wrote more than 300) and nursery rhymes. He is also known for his adaptation of the "One Horse Open Sleigh" (popularly known as "Jingle Bells"), that despite being written at the end of the 50s, after became the part of the original soundtrack for [Ai Shoujo Pollyanna Monogatari](https://anilist.co/anime/2554/Ai-Shoujo-Pollyanna-Monogatari) started appearing regularly in animes, appearing in the likes of Sailor Moon, One Piece and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. And became widely known after a clip of its usage in the PSP game Fate/Extra gone viral with the meme "Padoru, Padoru"
