According to Lio, no one was thinking well of him quitting high school, but Mikiya was the one person who truly wished him good luck. Because of that he thought Mikiya was the only person who could understand him, but didn't hesitate to kill him when he got rejected. Afterwards, he thought that Shiki would be the person who would truly understand him because she is different from normal people. But no, he was just crazy.
