At midnight, Inuyasha glimpses at an ogress sorceress demon named Urasue, who carries the scent of graveyard soil and the blood of Kaede. Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo go to the village in the morning, where they soon learn the ashes of Kikyo were stolen. The three vow to assist Kaede in recovering the ashes thereupon.
