After leaving Studio Junio, he became a freelancer and often works with Studio Sunrise and GONZO. In 2008, him and former GONZO producer Ikeda Touyo founded Encourage Films Co., Ltd, with a capital of 5 million yen. Ikeda Touyo would serve as the representative director and president of Encourage Films. With the death of Ikeda Touyo, on February 17, 2013, he was appointed as the representative director and CEO of Encourage Films.
