Toshio Azami is a former animation planner and producer. He graduated from School of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University and worked for Victor Entertainment, previously known as Victor Ongaku Kangyou. He was the director of Western music department, director of video production department, director of Victor Studio and director of media network department. He also took the master's and PhD courses at Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology at the University of Tokyo. After working as a lecturer at Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Toyama, Kanda University of International Studies and Kansai University, he became a professor at the department of media business at Hiroshima University of Economics (retired in 2011).
