Tsuzuki Michio was a Japanese mystery and science fiction writer. He was born in Tokyo, with his real name being Matsuoka Iwao. His aliases included Kobayashi Shofu, Awaji Eiichi, Shibata Baigoku and Ito Teruo.
He died of a heart attack caused by arteriosclerosis in a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 27, 2003. He was 74 years old. He had lived in Tokyo for many years, but after his wife died in 2002, he moved to Honolulu where his eldest daughter lived.
