The gentle Fudo is shown in the past to have been a terrifying bandit until he learned the value of life from a young Yuria. He is challenged by Raoh, who threatens to kill the children if he refuses to fight. Fudo reluctantly accepts the challenge and dons his old armor. Raoh orders his men to fire arrows into him if he retreats during the battle. Meanwhile, Kenshiro reaches Raoh's lightly defended castle and discovers that Raoh has left to fight Fudo.
