When Chase splits Banana Island to search for Kayla and the others, Chef John hands him a Hot Pepper guide book. An underground network of secret agents, the Peppers, help people whose loved ones go missing â€" usually by Glutton hands. On his way back to the mainland, Chase meets up with wild Jambalidia, a Pepper Agent, whose granddaughter, Tureen, was kidnapped by the Gormandizers. When Chase offers to rescue her, she returns the favor by putting the word out about Kayla and Company.
