In 1990, his short science fiction novel "Robots Don't Cry" was a finalist in the 16th Hayakawa Science Fiction Contest
He has also wrote novels and essays for "JUNE" (one of the oldest BL magazine targeting female audience) using the pseudonym Maguroya Nekomaru (まぐろ屋猫丸).
