Tiger Tateishi was a Japanese painter, manga artist, picture book writer, and potter. His real name was Koichi Tateishi, and he was from Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
He moved to Italy in 1969 to work in design. He held solo exhibitions all over Europe while being involved. After returning to Japan in 1982, he had many works from manga and picture books to three-dimensional works.
He had many works under the names of Koichi Tateishi and Okawa Tateishi.
