Liko, Roy, and Dot head to Glaseado Mountain, but Liko gets separated and encounters Amethio, who is seeking Terapagos. While they battle, Spinel intervenes and uses the Eternal Blessing on his Umbreon, causing it to become enraged. Terapagos then destroys Spinel's Laquium crystal, prompting Spinel to flee and trap Liko and Amethio in a cave.
