Gao Jianli and Kuang Xiu continue to play a duet on their zithers, oblivious to Jing Ke fighting off the Qin troops who are trying to kill them. Gao Jianli then joins and Jing Ke in the battle and manage to defeat them, but Kuang Xiu is killed while playing during the battle. Gao Jianli's mind returns to the current battle with White Phoenix and is wounded.
