The Four Musketeers receive new orders from the King to head out to Russia in order to retrieve the Royal Psalms that were stolen by Vorontsov. They reach Cologne, posing as gemstone merchants, and stay at an inn. They immediately leave the inn after becoming suspicious of the innkeeper, narrowly avoiding a confrontation with Count Cagliostro and Lorenza, who use Gargoyles in the form of dogs to track them down.
