Having discovered Shiki's wealth of knowledge and quick thinking, Mari tries to get him to join the quiz bowl circle. Shiki is hesitant, but lets Mari talk him into accompanying her to Sekigawata High School to observe a quiz meet. Daisuke Inoue, who wants to get closer to Mari, also shows up... and it turns out both of them have already been entered in the meet by Sasajima!
