Ren Amamiya é um aluno do segundo ano no Shujin Academy, em Tóquio, quando passa por um evento decisivo que desperta seu Persona. Ele se une a outros para se tornar parte dos "Phantom Thieves of Hearts", um grupo que combate adultos corruptos roubando as origens dos seus desejos torcidos para reconfigurar seus corações.
