Ep. 2: Kaori executa a Sonata Kreutzer enquanto Kousei observa, com o Amigo A

With Kousei Arima and the others in tow, Kaori Miyazono heads for the concert hall, where a violin competition is being held. Kousei breathes in the nostalgic scent of the hall. Many in the audience recognize Kousei as the boy once known as a piano prodigy. The competition starts, and the auditorium is filled with tension. The fourth contestant that came on the stage was Kaori. Her performance of the Kreutzer Sonata is completely different than that of the other contestants. Ignoring what the sheet music calls for, she makes the piece uniquely her own. She is beautiful in this endeavor. Afterwards, she runs toward Ryouta Watari. It's like a scene out of a movie.
