Ep. 2: A Saia da Tomo / A Idol da Escola

After Tomo gets groped by an old man on the bus, Jun restrains the man, and later suggests that she wear slacks instead of a skirt. Tomo gets mad at the suggestion that she dress more like a boy, but Misuzu later tells her that he was just trying to protect her from future gropers. Misuzu then suggests Tomo try wearing a skirt without shorts to appear more feminine, taking them from Tomo at the end of the school day and setting things up so Jun and Tomo will walk home together. Tomo feels incredibly self-conscious while Jun tries not to look at her. The next day, Misuzu guesses from Tomo's reaction that Jun saw her differently. Carol Olston, a half-English classmate, is popular with the boys. After Tomo runs into Carol and Kosuke in the hallway, Carol begins picking on her, and sees her as a rival. Misuzu sends Carol to Jun, and gives Tomo the motivation to go after him. Meanwhile, Jun only knows that Carol wants to train to take on an unnamed rival, and tries to help her with basic physical training. Tomo finally confronts Jun, and Carol abruptly leaves, finding out the meaning behind Misuzu's words. After school, Carol takes Misuzu out to a pastry shop for cake, and Misuzu convinces Carol to make friends with Tomo. Carol is surprised the next day at school when Tomo accepts unconditionally.
