Rintarou Tsumugi

A student at Chidori High. Rintarou is a very kind and calm person, but his blonde hair and piercings—adopted due to struggles with self-expression in his childhood—have led to many writing him off as a delinquent. The exceptions to this are his close friends at Chidori High, as well as Kaoruko, a girl from an opposing school known as Kikyo Private Academy. After first meeting Kaoruko in his family's cake shop, Rintarou gradually begins to spend more time with her.

Later, Rintarou falls for Kaoruko and confesses his feelings to her. While this causes some awkwardness between the two at first, she eventually returns his feelings and they begin dating.
