Liang moved to Japan in 2007 in order to further her art studies, taking up professional drawing classes and graduating in 2011. She joined [Madhouse](https://anilist.co/studio/11/) right afterwards, becoming a key animator after one year of working for the company.
She has named [Toshiyuki Inoue](https://anilist.co/staff/103724/) as one of her main influences.
