Kumiko Takahashi

Noted for her work as a character designer and animation director on numerous anime series. Learned the ropes studying under [Yoshikazu Yasuhiko](https://anilist.co/staff/97220/). After working as an animator at Kugatsusha, an animation studio led by Yasuhiko, she moved to [Madhouse](https://anilist.co/studio/11/) and provided the character designs for titles such as [Tokyo Babylon](https://anilist.co/anime/1043/), [DNA²](https://anilist.co/anime/563/), [Tetsuwan Birdy](https://anilist.co/anime/566/) as well as the extremely well received mahou shoujo series, [Cardcaptor Sakura](https://anilist.co/anime/232/). Soon after this Takahashi left Madhouse and teamed up on [Shuukou Murase](https://anilist.co/staff/100793/)'s directorial debut, [Witch Hunter Robin](https://anilist.co/anime/7/) - once again handling the role of character designer. In 2006, she designed the characters for [Ouran High School Host Club](https://anilist.co/anime/853/). Since then Takahashi has been working exclusively on shows made by either [Sunrise](https://anilist.co/studio/14/) or [Bones](https://anilist.co/studio/4/).
