Nobumoto made her debut as a scriptwriter in 1989 on TV drama, and on anime two years later with [Fly! Peek the Whale](https://anilist.co/anime/2314/).
Widely known for her work on hit titles such as [Cowboy Bebop](https://anilist.co/anime/1/), [Tokyo Godfathers](https://anilist.co/anime/759/) and [Macross Plus](https://anilist.co/anime/474/). She is noted as the original creator of [Wolf’s Rain](https://anilist.co/anime/202/).
