ANI x PARA: Anata no Hero wa Dare desu ka

A collaborative project brings together well-known Japanese animation studios and comic creators to portray fictional Paralympic athletes. The goal is to highlight emerging Paralympic sports and athletes through engaging character designs and narratives. Initially planned to expand its coverage by 2020, the series saw an episode produced by Kyoto Animation intended for an August 2019 release. However, the episode was later cancelled after it became clear the production would not be finished in time for the 2020 Paralympic Games, due to a devastating arson incident at the studio.
