In 1953, a group of aspiring artists lived together in an apartment called Tokiwa. They included Hiro Terada, Motoo Abiko, Hiroshi Fujimoto, Shotaro Ishinomori, and Fujio Akatsuka. Facing financial difficulties and rejection from editors, they also struggled with personal challenges, such as relationships. Despite these hardships, they supported each other with great enthusiasm and determination. Their shared efforts helped them endure tough times and eventually become successful figures in the manga industry.
