During a time of darkness, a boy named Beet aspires to join the elite Zenon Squad, a powerful group of Vandel Busters who fight devils capable of controlling monsters. Beet's mistake leads to a defeat by the devil Beltose, resulting in the deaths of five Zenon Squad members. Before dying, they transfer their life energy into their weapons, the Saiga, and pass them to Beet.
