Chiisana Love Letter: Mariko to Nemunoki no Kodomo-tachi

This anime follows Mariko Miyagi's 14-year involvement with the Silk Tree Academy, a rehabilitation center for disabled children, during the 1970s. It explores her relationships with several children at the facility and is based on her real-life work there. The film is divided into four seasonal chapters and includes realistic character designs modeled after actual individuals connected to the academy. Noboru Ishiguro, known for directing *Star Blazers*, contributed to the storyboarding. Mariko Miyagi also promoted the academy through appearances in live-action films such as *The Silk Tree Ballad*, *Mariko-Mother*, and *Children Drawing Rainbows*.
