A boy named Jiang visits a family spot for cherry blossom viewing but finds the area littered. While eating lunch, a creature named Kororin falls from the sky. Kororin hails from Star Oasis and uses ESP to promote environmental awareness. Jiang, his sister, and Kororin confront Syndrome, an alien seeking to destroy Earth. Syndrome's attacks often involve environmental threats like ozone depletion, weather manipulation, or excessive electricity use.
