After Haruma refuses to buy her a pet, Choco befriends an escaped puma, whom she names Kuro (the Japanese word for 'black'). Choco visits Kuro daily at his home in an abandoned warehouse, and introduces him to Kakeru and Yurika. Tragically, Kuro dies in a road accident. (Source: Wikipedia)
