The first part of a two-part story, it follows the Japan Self-Defense Forces as they continue searching for a way to fight an alien threat, with traditional weapons proving ineffective. Kadode Koyama and her best friend monitor the aliens’ activities online while also dealing with the pressures of preparing for college entrance exams. As the threat of global destruction grows, they learn to cope by focusing on each moment.
