Donbe Monogatari

A researcher named Mutsugoro relocates his family to an isolated island near Hokkaido to observe the wild bear population. Poachers in the area cause him trouble, and he ends up caring for a bear cub that becomes part of the family. They name the cub Donbe and treat it as their own child.
