Dororo (Pilot)

A pilot film was created prior to the TV series to showcase the overall quality of the project to sponsors and broadcasters. In this version, the characters more closely resemble their original portrayals than in the later series, where appearances and traits were occasionally modified to suit audience preferences, leading to mixed reactions. The pilot was produced in color, while the TV series was in black and white due to budget constraints. The narrative follows Dororo, a young thief, and Hyakkimaru, a man cursed with devil marks, as they travel and defeat various monsters. Hyakkimaru's humanity is restored gradually as he eliminates the 48 devils afflicting him.
