Fengshen Bang

A Chinese novel forms the basis of this story. A king is deceived by his concubine, who is a fox spirit disguised as a woman, leading him to mistreat his people and silence opposition. Another ruler, supported by a strategist named Jiang Ziya, gathers forces to challenge the tyrant and bring stability. The conflict between the two kingdoms involves supernatural beings—gods, immortals, demons, and others with magical powers—on both sides. Jiang Ziya receives a divine list from Yuanshi Tianzun, granting him the authority to assign heavenly ranks. As a result, several heroes and former enemies are elevated to godhood.
