Giant Robo THE ANIMATION: Chikyuu ga Seishi Suru Hi

A decade ago, Dr. Shizuma and his team developed the Shizuma drive, a groundbreaking renewable energy source, but their achievement came at a great cost due to a disastrous accident. The world has largely ignored this incident. Now, a secret group called Big Fire seeks global domination by acquiring three mysterious Shizuma drive samples, two of which they already possess. The third is stolen by Dr. Shizuma, who is rescued during his escape by Daisaku, Giant Robo, and the Experts of Justice. A conflict ensues between the Experts of Justice and Big Fire over the final sample as the latter deploys its most powerful weapon, the Eye of Volger, against the world. Clues increasingly suggest that the accident from ten years ago holds the key to understanding the current events.
