Hakuouki OVA (2021)

Chizuru Yukimura, who arrived in Kyoto to find her father, has been working with the Shinsengumi since they rescued her from a bloodthirsty creature. In June of the first year of Keio, the Shinsengumi relocated to Nishi Honganji Temple to patrol the city and received reports of "bandits" impersonating them. At the same time, they were tasked with protecting Shogun Iemochi during his visit to Kyoto, prompting Hijikata and others to investigate. Meanwhile, several rasetsu escape the Shinsengumi with the help of someone resembling Chizuru. Chizuru, who had gone to the city with Sakai, becomes involved in the events and goes missing. The Satsuma domain learns of a plot by Tosa domain ronin to assassinate the Shogun, prompting Kazama and others to travel to Kyoto. As incidents pile up and the Shogun's arrival nears, Hijikata and the Shinsengumi must make a decision.
