Idol Project

A fourteen-year-old girl named Mimu Emilton attends the annual Starland Festival with the goal of becoming an idol, inspired by her role model, Yuri. The festival is a major event on a united Earth, where Yuri, now the President, promotes the idea of becoming an Excellent Idol. Mimu repeatedly faces obstacles preventing her from reaching her audition, often getting into awkward situations requiring assistance from current Excellent Idols, with whom she forms friendships. Just as she finally reaches the stage to perform, she and the Idols are kidnapped by an unknown group of aliens. This marks the start of an interdimensional journey in which Mimu must find the confidence to save the world.
