Indie Anibox: Selmaui Danbaekjil Coffee

A 2008 animated collection features three short films by emerging directors. One film, directed by Kim Woon Ki, follows a quiet village thrown into chaos by heavy rain and the arrival of a mysterious elderly woman named Selma. Another, by Yeon Sang Ho, is a 3-D black comedy in which three struggling roommates splurge on fried chicken, only to find out their order is the son of a grieving chicken. Jang Hyung Yoon's entry is a surreal tale about a swordsman who is reborn as a coffee vending machine and instantly falls for the maintenance worker.
