One Summer Day

University student Natsuna Keyaki receives a "let's meet" message from her online gaming friend Itsuki after a four-year gap in communication. When the game unexpectedly shuts down shortly after, leaving Natsuna with no way to ever contact Itsuki again, she decides to travel to Kumamoto Prefecture. Afternoon on a Day Off

After reaching a dead end at Itsuki’s former address, Natsuna visits a local police box for help. There, she meets police officer Masayoshi Maezono, who accompanies her to a temporary prefab town hall to search for information on Itsuki’s whereabouts. However, privacy regulations prevent them from accessing any personal records, leaving Natsuna without a new lead. As they leave the town hall, a middle school girl calls out to stop them.
