In 1999, as humanity expands beyond the solar system, a conflict arises between Earth and the planet Gishin led by Emperor Zule. To destroy Earth, Zule sends a child named Mars to live among humans, accompanied by a powerful robot named Gaia, capable of planetary destruction. Mars is raised in Japan by a family who names him Takeru. As he grows, he develops affection for humanity and refuses to activate Gaia's bomb as ordered. The bomb is programmed to detonate if Takeru dies, threatening Earth. Takeru, who has psychic abilities, joins the Crasher Squad, an elite space defense unit, to defend against Gishin attacks. Unbeknownst to Zule, Takeru’s father secretly built five additional robots—Sphinx, Uranus, Titan, Shin, and Ra—to accompany Gaia and protect Takeru. When Earth is at risk, Takeru can summon these robots to combine with Gaia, forming the giant robot Godmars.
