SF Shin Seiki Lensman

Kim lives a quiet life on his family's farm until a spaceship is spotted heading toward it at high speed. He boards the vessel to save his father and successfully lands it before impact. Inside, he discovers a critically injured survivor who, on his deathbed, asks Kim to deliver an object to the Galactic Fleet. The survivor also transfers a device from his arm to Kim's, a Lens, which should have been impossible to transfer. This act transforms Kim into a Lensman, granting him unknown abilities and giving him access to crucial data for defeating the Boskone Empire. Kim now has the responsibility to deliver the Lens to the Galactic Fleet using the spaceship Britannia. However, Lord Helmet of the Boskone Empire will stop at nothing to prevent this.
