Shika to Kanta

A boy named Kanta, who often feels alone, saves a baby sika deer without a mother and gives it the name Poyu. Poyu has a unique golden tail, which draws the attention of hunters. Kanta decides to defend Poyu and other deer from those who want to harm them. The story is based on a children's novel by Daisaku Ikeda, with illustrations by Sho Murakami. It highlights the impact of excessive hunting on sika deer and explores the bond between the boy and the deer.
