Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-hen

In a near-future setting, a new energy source called Photon Power is developed from an ore found beneath Mt. Fuji, promising to resolve global energy issues. Dr. Hell, a power-hungry antagonist supported by Baron Ashura, Count Brocken, and Viscount Pygman, seeks to control this energy by attacking the Photon Power Lab with a fleet of mechanical creatures inspired by ancient Greek ruins. Opposing him is Kabuto Kouji, a passionate young pilot who operates Mazinger Z, a robot constructed by his grandfather. The conflict between Dr. Hell and the Kabuto family involves unresolved mysteries tied to the Mycenaean civilization and Bardos Island, as well as the origins of Mazinger Z. This new series reimagines the original Mazinger Z story with a fresh cast and an unrelated narrative.
