Four years after the original series, Aoi Miyamori continues her work at Musashino Animation, handling routine challenges. Following a morning meeting, Watanabe assigns her leadership of a new theatrical anime project. The endeavor faces unforeseen difficulties, causing Aoi to question whether the studio is capable of completing a feature-length production in its current condition. As she wrestles with these concerns, Aoi meets a new coworker, Kaede Miyai. Together with the rest of the MusAni team, they collaborate to bring the project to completion.
